16 teams compete in football at the Hamdan Bin Zayed Shooting Championship
Al Dhafra, October 18 / WAM / The organizing committee of the Hamdan bin Zayed Shooting Championship announced the accreditation of 16 teams in football competitions, as part of the accompanying events in the Al Dhafra region.
The committee confirmed in a statement today that the competitions will be held from October 19 until November 16, and will start tomorrow with two matches, the first bringing together the “Orascom” and “Liwa Plastic” teams, and the second witnessing a confrontation between the “Moqab” and “Al-Nusour” teams.
Abdullah Hamad Al Marri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhafra Shooting Club, said that the activities accompanying the shooting championship, represented by football, padel tennis, and competitions for people of determination, embody the great diversity of activities, and allow the various segments of society to participate and enjoy a competitive sports and entertainment atmosphere at the same time.
He explained that the shooting competitions in the current edition witness various competitions for categories of men, women, and young men and women, to spread the sport of shooting and expand its base among young men and women, thus enhancing Al Dhafra’s position as a major destination for heritage and sporting activities at the state level, with the support of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
