"Nour Riyadh" Shines in Venice…Saudi art opens new horizons globally

The exhibition includes four works by international artists whose works will be displayed at the Noor Riyadh 2025 celebration scheduled to be held in the capital during the period From November 20 to December 6 next. Ayoung Kim highlights the new Riyadh Train project as an urban landmark and a public exhibition that includes contemporary works of art in its stations, while Wang Yuyang presents an artistic vision that embodies the rapid urban and technical development witnessed by the capital, and highlights its luminous, modern character. Abdul Rahman Al-Shahed presents a work in Arabic calligraphy linking Riyadh and Venice, in a symbolic reference to their long history of cultural and commercial exchange, while the works of the late Safia bin Zagr (1940-2024 AD) will be displayed in honor of her pioneering contributions to modern Saudi art, and to introduce the Italian public to one of the most prominent pioneers of art in the Kingdom. The exhibition will be held in the halls in which It was designed by the famous Italian architect Carlo Scarpa at the headquarters of the Quirini Stampalia Foundation in Venice, in an artistic dialogue that combines classical Italian architecture and contemporary Saudi art.
