Hearing explosions and an unprecedented flight of Israeli occupation aircraft in the Palestinian skies of Rafah

Israeli occupation warplanes flew in the sky of the Palestinian city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, where explosions were heard in the area, which is the first time since the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, while Palestinians reported violent clashes in the city of Rafah.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported: The Israeli newspaper said that explosions and warplanes were heard over the skies of the Palestinian city of Rafah, noting that Defense Minister Yisrael Katz left the government meeting to conduct a security assessment after what he described as “a violation of the ceasefire in Gaza.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s military secretary left with him.

Netanyahu and Katz confirmed that they were evaluating the situation in Rafah, and were committed to directing the army to move in the Gaza Strip immediately if necessary.

For its part; The Hamas movement confirmed The Palestinian Authority’s commitment to the ceasefire agreement, and that the Israeli occupation continues to violate the agreement.

The leader of the movement, Izzat Al-Rishq, said – in a press statement today, Sunday – that the attempts of the occupation prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to evade his obligations come under pressure from his extremist coalition, in an attempt to escape from his responsibilities before the mediators.
