“Dubai Endowments” opens the “Dubai Government Employees 2” endowment to print the Holy Qur’an

The Endowments and Minors’ Funds Management Foundation in Dubai announced the opening of the “Dubai Government Employees 2” endowment, the proceeds of which go back to printing the Holy Qur’an and distributing it inside and outside the country, in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, affiliated with Dubai Media, in order to enhance Dubai’s pioneering role in serving endowment and charitable work and spreading the values ​​of humanitarian giving.

The opening of the endowment took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, Abdullah Mohammed Al-Basti, the Director-General of Dubai Municipality, Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, the Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Falasi, the Secretary-General of the Endowments Foundation and Minors’ Funds Management in Dubai, Ali Mohammed Al-Mutawa, and a number of the Foundation’s cadres.

During the opening, Dubai Endowments honored Dubai Municipality in appreciation of its outstanding support for the initiative, and the valuable contributions of its employees, which constituted the largest percentage in the completion of the “Dubai Government Employees Endowment 2,” which reflects the municipality’s deep commitment to its social responsibility and its distinguished leadership role in promoting the culture of giving and supporting endowment initiatives in the emirate.

More than 4,000 employees in about 44 government agencies in Dubai participated in this project, contributing to funding the endowment in support of the initiative to print the Holy Qur’an, which embodies the values ​​of cooperation and social responsibility in the government sector in Dubai.

The endowment building, which is located in Al Barsha II, consists of a residential villa with an elegant, modern design that reflects the distinctive urban character of Dubai’s upscale neighborhoods. The project’s construction costs and the value of the land amounted to about seven million dirhams, and it was developed in a manner that combines architectural beauty and investment efficiency, ensuring the achievement of sustainable returns that benefit charitable work, in printing and distributing the Holy Qur’an.

The Director-General of Dubai Municipality, Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, said that the “Dubai Government Employees Endowment” initiative is a true reflection of the values ​​of Emirati society, which is based on solidarity, solidarity, and giving. It also highlights the importance of community participation of Dubai government employees in supporting and developing the assets of the endowment, and contributing to charitable and humanitarian work. It represents the launch of the second endowment in the second Al Barsha area, dedicated to printing the Holy Qur’an. Establishing a culture of endowment among Dubai government employees who are proactive in giving and doing good.

These initiatives enhance the community spirit, encourage ongoing charity, and the importance of supporting beneficial endowment projects that go beyond the limits of the individual, and whose impact extends to the entire community, thus contributing to achieving community and family cohesion.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Management Foundation, Ali Al-Mutawa, confirmed that the completion of the Dubai Government Employees Endowment in its second season reflects the inherent spirit of giving among Dubai government employees, and translates the directives of the wise leadership in promoting the concept of the endowment as a sustainable development tool that meets the needs of society.

Al-Mutawa said: “At (Dubai Endowments) we are keen to design sustainable and innovative endowment projects that achieve the objectives of the Dubai Endowment Strategy, and provide individuals and institutions with the opportunity to contribute to charitable works with modern concepts and permanent returns.”

He added: “The (Dubai Government Employees 2) Endowment is part of the Foundation’s initiatives aimed at enabling Dubai Government employees to participate in a sustainable charitable endowment project that commemorates their impact in serving the Holy Qur’an and spreading its message in various parts of the world. The first endowment for Dubai Government employees was completed at the beginning of this year, with its proceeds spent on charitable causes.

Dubai Endowments, in cooperation with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, launched the “Dubai Government Employees Endowment” initiative in its first and second seasons, with the aim of urging the emirate’s government employees to participate in the community in supporting and developing the endowment assets, by deducting a specific portion of the employee’s monthly salary and transferring it to the account of the institution, which in turn collects these donations and pumps them into the real estate endowment projects that it implements and supervises their management. And invest it, then distribute its proceeds to provide charitable works, and every monthly deduction that is made is an ongoing charity for the donating employee whose reward is permanent and whose benefit is uninterrupted.
