Aisha Al-Darai wins the “Women’s” title in the Hamdan bin Zayed Shooting Championship

Aisha Saif Al-Darai won first place in the women’s category, while Bayna Khaled topped the junior girls’ category, at the conclusion of the fifth edition of the Hamdan Bin Zayed Shooting Championship, in the “Secton 0.22” rifle category, the day before yesterday, for the women’s and junior categories.

The tournament, organized by Al Dhafra Shooting Club, was held at its headquarters in Madinat Zayed, with the participation of 114 female shooters in the two categories.

The organizing committee of the tournament confirmed the success of the women’s events, after several preliminary stages leading to the final rounds, and preparations for the start of the men’s and junior competitions on the 26th of this month until the 6th of next December.

The women’s competition resulted in Fatima Al Menhali winning second place, Ghasiya Al Diriyah winning third place, Ghalia Al Karbi winning fourth place, and Sheikha Al Marzouqi winning fifth place.

Fakhira Al-Darai also won sixth place, Fatima Al-Darai won seventh place, Hind Al-Muqbalia won eighth place, Amna Al-Ketbi won ninth place, and Fatima Al-Kaabi won tenth place, while second place in the junior girls’ category went to Dima Al-Muharami, and Salama Al-Muqbalia came third.

For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhafra Shooting Club, Salem Al Sabousi, said that the competitions achieved great success, confirming the importance and value of the tournament in empowering women’s groups with competitive capabilities, with the support of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
