The Head of State and the Prime Minister of Slovakia discuss relations between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, discussed cooperation relations and opportunities to develop them, especially in the fields of development, economic and trade, renewable energy, innovation and future technology, in addition to cultural fields and other aspects, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and their vision towards achieving sustainable development and brings goodness and prosperity to their people.
This came during His Highness’s reception today at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Slovak Prime Minister, who is on a working visit to the country. At the beginning of the meeting, he conveyed to His Highness the greetings of Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, and his wishes for the UAE’s further prosperity.
During the meeting, His Highness and the Prime Minister of Slovakia stressed the strength of the relations between the two countries and their continuous development at various levels, and their keenness to continue strengthening the paths of this cooperation, especially in the economic and strategic sectors that constitute a development priority, based on their common vision in the fields of innovation and sustainability.
His Highness the President and Robert Fico also reviewed a number of regional and international topics and issues of common interest and exchanged views on them, stressing in this context the importance of strengthening dialogue and diplomatic settlements in addressing various issues and crises in the region and the world.
His Highness the President and Prime Minister of Slovakia witnessed the exchange of a cooperation agreement in the economic fields between the governments of the two countries, in addition to a memorandum of understanding in the investment field, exchanged on the part of the UAE by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, and on the Slovak side, Vladimir Simoniak, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy.
The meeting was attended by: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State, and a number of ministers and senior state officials.
On the Slovak side, it was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister, which includes a number of ministers and senior officials.
