Conclusion of the third annual meeting of standardization ambassadors in countries "cooperation"

RIYADH, 21st October / WAM / The Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization concluded the third annual meeting of standardization ambassadors, which was held on October 19th at the organization’s headquarters in the city of Riyadh, in conjunction with the celebration of World Standards Day 2025 under the slogan “Partnerships to Achieve Goals,” with wide participation from male and female standardization ambassadors and a number of specialists and experts in the fields of quality, specifications and innovation.
The forum’s program included a number of working papers and specialized presentations, which addressed the role of standard specifications in achieving the goals of sustainable development, the “Mutabaq” system as a tool for institutional integration to ensure product safety, and the Gulf Conformity Badge as a bridge of trust towards a safe Gulf market, in addition to presenting an academic success experience from the Standardization Ambassadors entitled “My Journey from the Standardization Body to a Doctorate Degree.”
The forum witnessed an open dialogue session entitled “Partnership and Development,” in which the ambassadors participated by presenting their opinions and proposals to develop the initiative, reviewing challenges and opportunities, discussing ways to measure the societal impact of their activities, and mechanisms for support, training, and motivation, in addition to presenting a number of success stories that have achieved a tangible impact in work environments and society.
The participants in the forum expressed their thanks to the Gulf Standardization Organization for the attention and support it gives to the Standardization Ambassadors initiative, stressing their commitment to continuing their voluntary efforts in spreading the culture of quality and safety, while the organization affirmed its keenness to crystallize the results and recommendations of the dialogue session within the framework of integration with the Gulf Standardization Organization’s strategy 2026-2030, which seeks to consolidate the role of standardization as a basic pillar for achieving integration. economic and enhancing the quality of life in member states.
