“stc” cooperates with “Humanitarian Property”, “Child Care” and “Maternity” to support needy families

Within the framework of its pioneering community initiative “stc Freej”, and based on its responsibility to improve the living conditions of needy families, stc Bahrain, the digital enabler, announced a strategic partnership with both the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and the Child and Mother Care Society, with the aim of renovating a number of the homes of these families in various regions of the Kingdom, thus contributing to providing a more suitable residential environment.

The project includes the restoration and furnishing of twenty homes belonging to needy families from different societal groups facing living challenges. The project includes furnishing and equipping these homes with the latest supplies and designs, including bedrooms, living rooms, and other vital facilities, with the aim of transforming them into suitable and comfortable housing that guarantees its residents a decent livelihood.

In this context, His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, stressed the importance of community partnership in enhancing solidarity and interdependence between various sectors to serve the nation and citizens, which is what the Royal Humanitarian Foundation is keen on, pointing out that this vital project, which stc Bahrain used to organize periodically in cooperation with the Foundation to serve sponsored families, contributes greatly to helping families reduce their poverty. Their burdens of living by equipping their homes, expressing his thanks and appreciation to stc Bahrain for its continued cooperation with the organization, and its endeavor to serve the community with qualitative initiatives that leave a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of Bahraini families.

For his part, Sheikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Vice President for Government Affairs at stc Bahrain, said: “At stc Bahrain, we continue our established path of supporting society, out of our belief in our humanitarian role and our national responsibility to bring about a positive and sustainable change in the lives of needy families. Our cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and the Mother and Child Welfare Society constitutes a true embodiment of this commitment, through Specific initiatives that enable these families to have decent livelihoods.”

Sheikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Child and Motherhood Care Society, commented: “We applaud this initiative from stc Bahrain, which represents a role model in supporting the principle of community partnership and promoting the concepts of social responsibility. This cooperation embodies an advanced awareness of the importance of community solidarity, and a sincere keenness to improve the quality of life of needy families. It is worth noting that the “Freej STC” program includes a group of integrated community initiatives that aim to support and empower the local community, and include renovating homes, renovating neighborhoods, and providing educational and health care opportunities, which reflects the company’s commitment to making a real and sustainable difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout the Kingdom.
