Declared Saudi Cultural Attaché in United States: The number of Saudi scholarship students in the Cybersecurity For the year 2025, there were 339 scholarship students in more than 85 American universities, with 231 scholarship students for bachelor’s degrees, 81 for master’s degrees, and 27 for doctoral degrees, in academic and applied tracks that serve the priorities of the national digital economy.
The Saudi cultural attaché in the United States of America, Canada, and South American countries, Dr. Tahani bint Abdulaziz Al-Baiz, in a statement on the occasion of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, said that sending national competencies in cybersecurity is an integral part of the investment in human capital led by the wise leadership – may God support it – within the goals of Vision 2030 and the human capacity building programme. It aims to prepare a specialized generation that will consolidate the Kingdom’s leadership and maintain its international leadership in this vital field.
Partnerships with Universities and Centers
The cultural attaché added that the academic and research programs that scholarship students enroll in are built on partnerships with universities and centers of excellence, with continuous follow-up of their results and enabling them to undertake practical training and transfer knowledge to national authorities after Their graduation.
She continued: "This interest comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s advanced global indicators, as Saudi Arabia maintained first place globally in the cybersecurity index in the 2025 Global Competitiveness Yearbook report issued by the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
She continued: The Kingdom was also classified as a leading model in the highest category. (Role-Model) in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2024 issued by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which reflects the integration of the security and development structures of the sector and the growing national human capabilities supporting it.".
