Growth of Japan’s exports and imports during September

Tokyo, October 22 / WAM / Government data showed today, Wednesday, that Japanese exports rose for the first time in five months last September, despite the continued decline in shipments to the United States, even after the reduction of US customs duties on Japanese goods that took effect this month.

The data showed that total exports in value rose by 4.2% on an annual basis during September.

It also showed a decrease in exports to the United States by 13.3% during September compared to the same period of the previous year, while exports to China jumped by 5.8%, while imports increased by 3.3% during the same month.
