Abu Dhabi Customs continues to support the sustainability of operations and the smooth flow of freight movement

Abu Dhabi, March 14 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Customs, in light of the developments taking place in the region, continues to work in continuous coordination with strategic partners and competent authorities to support the sustainability of operations and ensure the safety of workers and customers, while maintaining the smooth flow of freight and trade movement through the customs ports in the emirate.
As part of our keenness to monitor the efficiency of operational operations and enhance the readiness of the customs work system at vital ports, to ensure efficient and flexible business continuity in accordance with the best approved practices, His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al Mansouri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, inspected the progress of customs operations in the cargo village at the Zayed International Airport Customs Center, listened to the field teams of Abu Dhabi Customs employees, and learned about their efforts in managing daily operations.
Al Mansouri also inspected work sites to ensure that the highest security and safety standards are applied, which contributes to providing a suitable work environment. He stressed the importance of adhering to the implementation of approved plans and procedures that ensure business continuity according to the highest levels of readiness and operational efficiency.
The visit also included a meeting with representatives of shipping companies operating in the Cargo Village, where Al Mansouri stressed Abu Dhabi Customs’ keenness to provide the necessary support to facilitate doing business and speed up shipment clearance procedures through the smart customs systems implemented in the emirate, thus enhancing the efficiency of logistical operations and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center for trade and logistics services.
