Khalifa Port rises to 39th place on the list "Lloyd’s" To the best ports in the world

Abu Dhabi, 22nd October / WAM / Abu Dhabi Ports Group – ADX: ADPORTS, the leading global enabler of trade, industry and logistics services, announced that Khalifa Port has risen to thirty-ninth place on Lloyd’s list of the 100 best ports around the world for the year 2025, continuing its rapid rise and entering the list of the most prominent container ports in the world.
Since its first entry into this global ranking in 2019 in 95th place, Khalifa Port has achieved continuous growth over the past six years, driven by strategic expansions, technical innovations and advanced operational efficiency.
This achievement reflects the pivotal role played by the port as a global logistical gateway, and confirms the established position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a major center for supplying global trade, while the Lloyd’s List enjoys a leading position as a global reference in evaluating container ports in terms of operational performance and handling efficiency. The continued progress of Khalifa Port confirms its position as an advanced and sustainable maritime centre. It continues to expand and enhance both its operational capacity and handling volumes, within a growing network of global shipping partners.
As an integrated logistics gateway, Khalifa Port combines sea, land, air and rail transport networks, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of supply chains.
Linking the port with Kizad Group, the largest operator in the UAE of integrated economic zones and free zones, contributes to the formation of a unified economic and commercial system that links manufacturing, storage and distribution operations directly with the port’s global shipping network.
Khalifa Port has achieved steady growth over the past years, supported by an increase in handling volumes, capacity, expansion of the shipping and logistical services network, and the adoption of the latest digital technologies and cargo handling techniques.
By the second quarter of 2025, the total capacity of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group reached 11.8 million TEU, of which Khalifa Port represents 9.6 million TEU.
The volume of container handling during the first half of 2025 increased by 21% year-on-year, reaching 3.62 million TEUs, 85% of which were handled at Khalifa Port.
