Ras Al Khaimah, 22 October / WAM / Marjan, the main developer of freehold projects in Ras Al Khaimah, and RAK Hospitality Holding, which manages a diverse group of hotel, hospitality and entertainment assets in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, announced a strategic merger to establish a unified entity operating under the Marjan umbrella.
This merger combines global expertise in the hospitality sector with ambitious visions for land development, to form a dynamic organization that is ready for the future.
Marjan will integrate real estate development, hospitality businesses and lifestyle experiences under one umbrella. Inspired by Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030, Marjan, as one of the largest real estate developers in the UAE, will lead the growth of Ras Al Khaimah to enhance its role as a global center for living and investment. It will also drive major investments, enhance the tourism sector, and achieve long-term value for investors as an integrated destination and leading real estate platform in the region.

Marjan will lead the transformation of Ras Al Khaimah by developing ambitious master plans that will enhance the development of tourist destinations. By leveraging modern technology and data, Marjan will launch mixed-use projects that are seamlessly integrated with the basic infrastructure of vibrant communities, and vital amenities such as healthcare, education and quality of life. These carefully designed projects include Al Marjan Island, RAK Central, Marjan Beach, and the upcoming master plan for Jebel Jais, and are designed to improve the quality of life of residents, enhance travel and entertainment experiences for visitors, and attract various investment opportunities.

Following the successful launch of Marjan Beach, a mixed-use masterplan on the most integrated waterfront in the UAE, the emirate continues to implement infrastructure works within the masterplan extending over an area of 85 million square feet. Marjan Beach has been designed around eight distinct neighborhoods, and will include 22,000 residential units and 12,000 luxury hotel rooms, accommodate 74,000 residents and 32,000 employees, and receive up to 180,000 visitors annually.
Marjan Beach extends along 3 kilometers of the Arabian Gulf and includes 6.5 million square feet of green space, linking the development of infrastructure with the creation of community public spaces that will support an authentic lifestyle that enhances interconnectedness and ease of movement, distinguishing Ras Al Khaimah as a sustainable center for investment and a leading tourism gateway.
In confirmation of its support for the goal of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030, Marjan is working to attract 3.5 million visitors annually to the emirate, with international visitors constituting 60% of the total number of tourists in the emirate. Marjan will work to expand the hotel capacity in Ras Al Khaimah, by attracting the most prominent international brands, including the finest luxury hospitality brands in the world.
As part of its expansion into the mountainous regions, Marjan will develop 100 kilometers of walking and cycling trails over the next five years, redefining vibrant tourism in the region and highlighting Ras Al Khaimah’s stunning landscapes. Marjan plans to attract more than 20,000 festival audiences to the emirate through world-class cultural and entertainment events.
In its support of the hospitality system in Ras Al Khaimah, Marjan will provide world-class accommodation facilities for more than 15,000 workers in the hospitality sector, ensuring exceptional living standards that attract and retain the best talent. It will also manage advanced laundry facilities that process more than 100,000 tons annually using the least possible amount of energy, which enhances operational excellence and sustainability throughout this distinguished destination.
