“Statistics”: 0.7% increase in the construction cost index during September

The results of the construction cost index survey for September 2025 showed an annual increase of 0.7% compared to last year, affected by the rise in Construction costs for the residential sector by 0.8%, and for the non-residential sector by 0.6%.
The General Authority for Statistics issued a bulletin The index for construction costs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Stability on a monthly basis
The bulletin indicated that the index for Constructionprices recorded stability on a monthly basis during September 2025, compared to August 2025.
Construction costs for the residential sector and construction costs for the non-residential sector recorded relative stability in September 2025.
The issuance of the bulletin comes as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop statistical products for the sectors. Vital, providing a reliable and effective reference and accurate estimates based on a comprehensive analysis of basic material costs, labor costs, equipment and machinery rental costs, and energy costs, for the residential and non-residential sectors.
The bulletin aims to support the decisions of contractors, real estate developers, and relevant parties, and contribute to drawing a clear road map for projects. Residential and non-residential construction in the building and construction sector.
