Three people died in Tropical Storm Melissa in Haitias local authorities announced, and it may intensify into a hurricane over the weekend, according to The US National Hurricane Center.

The center explained that the tropical storm may turn into a hurricane in the next 48 hours in Jamaica and in southwestern Haiti.
