Viano/Vito Summon (Class 639)

In coordination with the Competition and Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Economy, and in the Ministry’s keenness to conduct a continuous review of all products in the United Arab Emirates and provide the necessary protection for the consumer, Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company announce the start of the recall of Viano/Vito cars (platform 639) as of June 18, 2025.

Mercedes-Benz AG has announced the possibility of installing a Takata airbag module in some Vito/Viano (Platform 639) vehicles while replacing the driver’s airbag.

This was announced in cooperation with Gargash Enterprises, Emirates Motor Company and the Ministry of Economy – Competition and Consumer Protection Department, to inform customers of the start of inspection of affected cars imported into the UAE.

Any necessary repair work will be free of charge to customers.

Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company will contact all its customers, asking them to inspect their affected vehicles.
