المملكة: Minister of Health: Clinical research increased by 51% in the Kingdom within one year – urgent


The Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajel, said during the first day of the World Health Forum: "Chronic diseases cause 74% of deaths around the world"
He added: "More than 6 million husbands and wives have benefited from the premarital medical examination program, and the response rate to genetic counseling has increased from 15% to 85%. Nearly 3 million newborns started their lives safely through the early newborn screening program"

He confirmed: "70% of cancer cases in the Kingdom are detected in their early stages thanks to health transformation. Chronic disease deaths in the Kingdom decreased by 40%, exceeding the United Nations target"
He stated: "Average life expectancy in the Kingdom increased from 74 years in 2016 to 79 years in 2025."
He continued: "The number of clinical research in the Kingdom increased by 51% within one year"
He said: "Launching a clinical trial for an artificial intelligence doctor, AI Physician, in cooperation with HUMAIN and LEAN.
In partnership with Google, we launch the “smart health coach” through the Sihati application to be the health guide for every beneficiary."

Global Health Forum 2025
