The launch of the Sweihan Mazayna competitions is the first stop of the Al Dhafra Festival


Sweihan, 27th October / WAM / The Sweihan Mazayna competitions, “the first stop of the Al Dhafra Festival,” began today, amid a large influx of camel owners from the Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, while the competitions will continue until the current October 28th in Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Heritage Square in Sweihan City.
Al Dhafra Festival, in its eighteenth session, allocated 730 prizes for the Sweihan Mazayna with a total value of 11 million and 450 thousand dirhams, distributed over 76 races for local camels, Majahim and purebred hybrids, and within the age groups from Mafrouda to Hail, including 38 races for local camels, 32 races for Majahim camels, and 6 races for purebred camels.
Since the early hours of this morning, the camel owners began bringing the camels participating in the camel auction to the overnight booths, within 8 rounds for the Mafarid category “Talad 1, Talad 2, Partners 1, Partners 2” for local and Majahim, in preparation for announcing the results of the rounds for which 80 prizes were allocated after presenting them to the screening and judging committees tomorrow evening, Tuesday.
According to the timetable for registering camels participating in the Sweihan Mazayna, the entry of participating camels in 5 rounds for the Mafarid Al-Sharaya category for local, Al-Majahim and Al-Asayel hybrids, the round of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs – local, and the Mafarid Al-Mahjina Al-Asayel round will begin tomorrow morning.
