A 6.6 magnitude earthquake strikes the Banda Sea, Indonesia

The German Research Center for Geological Sciences announced today, Tuesday, that a 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Banda Sea in Indonesia.

The center stated – in a brief statement reported by Reuters news agency – that there is no possibility of a tsunami occurring as a result of the earthquake. 

 

It is noteworthy that There have been no reports of casualties or injuries so far.
