The journalist Ahmed Schubert described the dispute between the Professional Clubs Association and Captain Helmy Toulan, the coach of the second Egyptian national football team, as a sad dispute that raises concern before the start of the upcoming matches.
Schubert confirmed, during his program with Schubert, on Radio On Sport FM, that the second Egyptian national football team, led by Helmy Toulan, played a number of friendly matches with the teams of Morocco, Tunisia and Bahrain, He is preparing to play two matches against Algeria as part of the preparation program for the tournament scheduled to start on the first of next December.
Schubert pointed out that Toulan expressed his sudden objection one month before the tournament, as he confirmed the lack of training grounds and requested that some local matches be postponed in order to include a number of Pyramids players in the national team, pointing out that Captain Hani Abu Rida made statements demanding that the Club Association postpone the Pyramids, Petrojet and Kahraba matches. Schubert explained that the Club Association refuses to postpone any matches in order to maintain the regularity of the league schedule, which is witnessing great pressure in the current season, especially with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) obligating all leagues around the world to end no later than the 31st of May 2026 in preparation for the World Cup.
