The President of the Arab Parliament calls on the countries of the world to participate in the Gaza Reconstruction Conference in Egypt

Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, called on the countries of the world and international institutions to actively participate in the Gaza Reconstruction Conference hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt next November, in support of efforts to rebuild what the occupation destroyed and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people after two years of aggression.

Al Yamahi, in his speech during the opening of the plenary session of the second session of the Arab Parliament at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, praised the efforts of Egypt, Qatar and Turkey in reaching an agreement. A ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the next stage requires unifying Arab, Islamic and international positions to mobilize support for the reconstruction plan, and holding the occupation accountable for the crimes of genocide before international courts.

 

He stressed that the Palestinian issue will remain the central issue of the Arab nation, and that a just peace begins with ending the occupation and establishing the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, praising the Saudi efforts in the two-state solution conference, and the Arab humanitarian projects, Especially the Emirati initiative to provide desalinated water to more than 600,000 citizens in Gaza as part of Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”.

 

He also expressed the Arab Parliament’s support for Egypt in protecting its water security and its historical rights to the waters of the Nile, and called for Arab solutions to the crises in Sudan, Yemen, Syria and Libya, stressing that the strength of the nation lies in its unity and solidarity, and its rejection of attacks. Repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and violations of its sovereignty.
