The head of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy confirms the readiness and efficiency of the system

ABU DHABI, March 21 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi and member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “Taqa”, confirmed the readiness and efficiency of the energy and water system.

During a field visit that included a number of vital sites and projects in the energy and water sectors, His Excellency praised the efforts of the staff working in various sites to ensure the security of supplies and the continuity of service provision without interruption, pointing to the vital role played by these teams in maintaining operational excellence and enhancing the flexibility of the system.

During the visit, His Excellency was accompanied by His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Energy, and His Excellency Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director General of Regulatory Affairs at the Department of Energy, along with a number of senior officials and representatives of strategic partners, including Jassim Hussein Thabet, Group CEO and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “Taqa,” and Farid Al Awlaki, CEO of the Power Generation and Water Desalination Business Unit at the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “Taqa.”

During his tour of a number of vital stations and projects, in addition to control rooms and operational facilities, His Excellency Al Jarwan was briefed on the progress of operational processes, production management mechanisms, and the latest technologies applied to enhance efficiency and ensure reliability of supplies.

He listened to a detailed presentation from the field work teams on the approved operating procedures and safety standards, ensuring the continuity of providing services with the highest levels of quality and efficiency, in line with the emirate’s directions towards enhancing sustainability and consolidating energy and water security.

This visit comes within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy’s ongoing efforts, which focus on monitoring the operational performance of facilities and learning about best practices in managing the energy and water sectors, which contributes to enhancing the reliability of the system and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading center in resource efficiency and sustainability.
