Sharjah showcases its cultural heritage and latest tourist destinations at the World Travel Market 2025 in London

Sharjah, 30 October / WAM / The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority is participating in the World Travel Market Exhibition – WTM London 2025 – for the twenty-second year in a row, which will be held from 4 to 6 November in the British capital, London.

The exhibition is one of the most prominent international exhibitions in the tourism and travel sector, as it brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries, and the event is expected to attract more than 46,000 visitors from around the world.

The Authority is participating with a delegation that includes 19 government and private entities under the umbrella of the Sharjah Pavilion, where the spotlight will be highlighted on the rich cultural heritage of the Emirate of Sharjah and a group of distinguished projects and tourist destinations. The most prominent of these destinations is the “Al Faya” area, which was recently included on the UNESCO World Heritage List because it contains the oldest and longest continuous records of human presence in desert environments, dating back more than 200,000 years.

Sustainable environmental destinations in the emirate will also be highlighted, such as the Wasit Wetland Reserve, which harbors rare species of birds, and the Mangrove Reserve in Kalba, which allows visitors to explore nature through wooden paths between mangrove trees, in addition to Sir Bu Nair Island, which is famous for its unique marine diversity, and other landmarks that reflect the diversity of the tourist experience in Sharjah.

Through its participation this year, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority is focusing on strengthening strategic partnerships in the global travel and tourism sector and building new bridges of cooperation with major European markets in line with the emirate’s strategy that aims to keep pace with changing global trends in the tourism sector and provide rich and sustainable cultural experiences that meet the aspirations of travelers from different parts of the world.

The Sharjah delegation to the exhibition this year includes a number of government and private entities, including the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority “Shurooq”, the Sharjah Museums Authority, the Sharjah International Airport Authority, the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, the Sharjah Heritage Institute, the Sharjah Sports Council, the Sharjah Vintage Cars Club, Sharjah Asset Management, Sharjah Expo Center, Arada Real Estate Company, and the Sharjah Airport Travel Agency “SATA”, in addition to a number of leading hotels and resorts in the emirate.
