Korean industrial output increased by 1% in September

SEOUL, 31st October, 2017 (WAM) – The Republic of Korea’s industrial output rose on a monthly basis last September, while retail sales declined for the second month in a row, according to data issued today by the Korean Ministry of Data and Statistics.

The Korean Yonhap News Agency reported that industrial output rose by 1% last month compared to the previous month, according to ministry data.

Retail sales, a measure of private spending, fell 0.1% on a monthly basis.

Investments in utilities jumped by 12.7%, recovering from a monthly decline during last August.
