The video also showed great care by those responsible for the electoral process to facilitate his participation and ensure its comfort, which reflects the great value that Al-Ahly places on its symbols.
Who is Counselor Mahmoud Fahmy?
Counsel Mahmoud Fahmy is one of the prominent legal figures in Egypt, and the name of Counselor Mahmoud Fahmy has been associated with Al-Ahly Club since 1943, where he began his career as a player in the youth sector and trained under the supervision of Mokhtar Al-Touch. His relationship with the club was strengthened through his personal friendship with the late Saleh Selim, the former club president, and he participated with him in many sporting events, most notably the Cairo University team.
Counsel Mahmoud Fahmy served Al-Ahly in many important legal cases, such as the club’s land dispute on the island and the Port Said incident, in addition to his supervision of the drafting of the club’s bylaws. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club from 1990 until 2009 during the era of Saleh Selim and Hassan Hamdi, and was the club’s legal advisor and head of the Judicial Committee and the Dispute Resolution Committee.
In 2021, the Al-Ahly Club’s Board of Directors, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, honored Counselor Mahmoud Fahmy in appreciation of his continuous giving and great loyalty to the club over more than fifty years.
The elections are held in an atmosphere of joy, as today is a holiday for Al-Ahly fans who follow the great event with passion and pride in the value and history it represents inside the Red Castle.
