The Minister of Higher Education discusses ways of cooperation with the Minister of Education of Nigeria and the Minister of Youth Empowerment and Development of Ghana

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held a meeting with Morofo Olatunji Alosa, Minister of Education of Nigeria, and George Obare Addo, Minister of Youth Empowerment and Development of Ghana, to discuss ways of joint cooperation, on the sidelines of Egypt’s participation in the annual “Going Global” conference. Organized by the British Council, in the British capital, London.
The meeting dealt with many important topics, highlighting the great development in digital and cross-border education, as well as technical and technological education in Egypt, and the Minister affirmed Egypt’s welcome to receive students from Ghana and Nigeria to study in Egyptian universities.
Dr. Ayman Ashour invited the two ministers to visit Egypt next January, to attend the “Deep” Forum. Dialogue" Organized by the British Council in Cairo.
The two ministers appreciated the efforts made by Egypt in promoting higher education, especially in cross-border education, and expressed their strong desire to benefit from the Egyptian experience. In this regard, Dr. Ayman Ashour confirmed the possibility of sharing the law establishing foreign university branches with them, to transfer knowledge and benefit from Egyptian efforts in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Rasha. Hussein, Cultural Advisor and Director of the Educational Mission in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Mark Howard, Chairman of the British Council in Egypt, and Mrs. Heba El-Zein, Director of Education at the British Council in Egypt.
