المملكة: Breast cancer survivor: Self-examination is a “lifeline” and my treatment was simple

Confirmed the recovery from  Breast cancer, Hoda Mansour Al-Hayek, said that early self-detection represents a real “lifeline” and the first path to an easy and quick treatment journey, stressing that her “self-discovery” of the disease a quarter of a century ago was the beginning of an inspiring story of recovery.
In her testimony, Al-Hayek, who is 60 years old, explained that she discovered the disease herself when she was approximately thirty-seven years old, through The usual self-examination.
She stated that she noticed the presence of a mass, and as a result she went directly to the hospital, where the tests confirmed that she had cancer, and from that moment the immediate treatment journey began.
A simple treatment journey
Al-Hayek explained that she faced the matter at the beginning with a natural shock, but the great support she received from her husband and family was the first motivation for her to overcome the ordeal, stressing that she decided not to Surrender.
She described her treatment journey as “simple,” explaining that she underwent removal of the mass, followed by three simple doses of chemotherapy as a preventive measure to prevent the disease from returning, stressing that these doses did not affect her significantly.
And in what represents strong evidence of recovery and quality of life, Al-Hayek revealed that four years after the end of the treatment period, she gave birth to a child whom she named “Zahraa,” saying that “her life blossomed.”

Al-Hayek concluded her speech, which aims to convey the experience to the visitors, by giving strong advice to women about the necessity of committing to self-examination first, and then performing mammogram examinations, stressing that this is the means of prevention and early treatment to prevent the development of the disease and its spread in the body.
