The UAE participates in the ministerial meeting of the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group

Mpumalanga – South Africa, October 31 / WAM / A delegation from the Emirates Accounting Authority, headed by His Excellency Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, Chairman of the Authority, participated in the ministerial meeting of the Anti-Corruption Working Group, which was held in the city of Mpumalanga in the Republic of South Africa, as part of its presidency of the G20 for the year 2025.
The agency’s delegation confirmed that the UAE is adopting an institutional strategy that makes accountability and combating corruption a strategic investment in sustainable development, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership that places transparency and integrity at the top of national priorities.
During its speech, the delegation pointed out that confronting corruption requires collective action and comprehensive international cooperation, stressing the keenness of the UAE and its regulatory body to enhance the exchange of experiences and build partnerships between the supreme audit and accountability bodies, in addition to developing cooperation between the public and private sectors to consolidate confidence in the business and investment environment.
The agency’s participation was an affirmation of the UAE’s commitment to supporting international efforts to combat corruption, and an embodiment of its keenness to consolidate the principles of governance and integrity at the national and global levels.
