Bahraini Foreign Minister: We support the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza

The Bahraini Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, affirmed his country’s position in support of efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, provide humanitarian aid, and international cooperation in reconstruction, in implementation of the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.

The Bahraini Foreign Minister stressed – during the 21st Regional Security Forum “Manama Dialogue” According to the Bahraini News Agency (BNA) on Sunday, the Kingdom of Bahrain supports the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state based on the two-state solution, in order to consolidate stability and just and comprehensive peace in the region.

The Bahraini Foreign Minister expressed his pride in the fact that the forum coincides with the election of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period. 2026–2027, and its assumption of the presidency of the next Gulf Summit, in a way that embodies international confidence in its policy and its diplomatic approach based on dialogue and understanding in resolving disputes.

He noted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen its international strategic partnerships to consolidate security, peace and sustainable prosperity, within the framework of its support for the process of integration and interconnection between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in light of a diplomatic consensus and a defense system. Integrated security, enhancing joint Arab action and Islamic solidarity, and its keenness to activate international alliances for peace, combating extremism and terrorism, enhancing maritime and cyber security, and following up on the implementation of the Security Integration and Comprehensive Prosperity Agreement concluded with the United States of America and the United Kingdom, and other areas of cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, the United Nations, and regional and international organizations, for the good of all humanity.
