94% of hotel rooms in Dubai were sold out during November

Data from websites specialized in hotel reservations showed that hotel establishments operating in Dubai achieved high occupancy rates during this November, which is witnessing a group of the most important major exhibitions, indicating that more than 94% of the hotel rooms displayed on their site were sold out, at a time when five-star hotels recorded the highest rate of reservations, especially beach hotels or those located in vital areas.
According to data from electronic reservation companies, a copy of which was reviewed by Emirates Today, seven areas recorded high reservations throughout this November, at a time when a large portion of the rooms available on the reservation site in the areas of “Downtown Dubai,” “Jumeirah Beach Residence,” “Palm Jumeirah,” “Sheikh Zayed Road,” “Dubai Marina,” and “Al Barsha” were sold out. The data showed a depletion rate ranging between 95 and 97% in these areas.
Beach hotels, including those overlooking the coast, and five-star luxury facilities, maintained the highest demand rate, with the largest portion of available rooms sold out at a rate of 97%, while hotel apartments, in turn, recorded high demand rates during the aforementioned period.
This data includes hotel rooms available exclusively on the platforms of these websites, and does not necessarily mean the total hotel capacity in the emirate, or those rooms that are sold and marketed through other electronic channels, or through direct booking.
In addition, airlines scheduled about 5.3 million seats at Dubai International Airport (10.6 million seats in both directions) during this November, with a growth rate of 5% compared to the same period last year. Thus, “Dubai International” topped the list of the largest airports in the world in terms of seat capacity on international flights, and in the total index (capacity on international and local flights together), surpassing its American counterpart, “Hartsfield Atlanta.”
This momentum in demand for Dubai comes in the season of both leisure and business tourism, as the emirate is hosting major exhibitions and events this November, such as the Dubai Air Show from November 17 to 21, the Big 5 Exhibition from November 24 to 27, the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition from November 4 to 6, and the Dubai Future Forum, the largest global gathering of future design experts and institutions on November 18 and 19 at the “Museum of the Future,” and a group of other exhibitions. And important conferences.
Managers and workers in the hotel and tourism sector told Emirates Today earlier that Dubai is witnessing an active tourism season in the last quarter of this year, and is heading towards achieving a record year in various indicators, pointing out that the movement of confirmed future reservations for the last quarter of this year is higher by rates of up to 30%, compared to last year, explaining that the emirate continues to consolidate its position as one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the world, with strong and growing performance with a vision based on To diversity, innovation and continued investment in global infrastructure and events.
The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai recently revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the number of international visitors, which showed the emirate’s success in attracting 13.95 million international tourists during the first nine months of this year, compared to 13.29 million tourists in the same period in 2024, a growth of about 5%.
