GE Vernova announced the start of commercial operation of the station "Independent Jafoura for combined generation of steam and electricity"
Al-Jafoura station is located about 125 kilometers southeast of the city of Al-JafouraBy capturing and reusing excess heat or steam.
Al-Jafoura gas field
This station is expected to be the most efficient in Saudi Arabiaprovides about 314 tons/hour of steam and approximately 320 megawatts of electricity to support the operations of the Jafurah gas field.
The developers of this field expect that by 2030, it will produce about 630,000 barrels of natural gas liquids and condensates, in addition to more than 420 million standard cubic feet of ethane per day.
An ambitious project
