Takaful International Company announces the joining of Yousef Al-Hamar as Head of the Individual Takaful and Quality Control Department

Takaful International Company announced the appointment of Yousef Al-Hamar as Head of the Individual Takaful and Quality Control Department, effective this November. Al Hamar’s appointment comes as part of the plan to develop and expand the company’s activities to keep pace with the growth in the company’s business.

It is noteworthy that Al-Hamar previously held the position of Head of the Takaful and Re-Takaful Companies Supervision Unit at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening regulatory oversight, developing supervisory frameworks, and supporting the sustainable growth of the Islamic insurance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In addition to his work as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Vehicle Accident Compensation Fund, where he supervised governance, claims and investment affairs.

It is noteworthy that Al-Hamar holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Finance from (Coventry University) in the United Kingdom, and also holds a number of professional certificates, most notably the Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), the title of Certified Insurance Practitioner from the British Chartered Insurance Institute, and the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practices (CMI Level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute.
