“Zain” sponsors the Manama leg of the 3×3 Basketball World Tour

Zain Bahrain, the leading telecommunications company in the Kingdom, announced its official sponsorship of the Manama leg of the 3×3 Basketball World Tour, which is organized by the Bahrain Basketball Federation under the supervision of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain with the participation of an elite group of international teams for the third year in a row.

The sponsorship signing was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, CEO of Communications and Investor Relations, on behalf of Zain Bahrain, and on behalf of the Bahrain Basketball Federation, Mr. Ahmed Hafez, Secretary-General, in the presence of Mr. Ghazi Radhi, member of the Federation’s Board of Directors.

His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa confirmed that Zain Bahrain’s sponsorship of this tournament comes within the framework of the company’s commitment to supporting national initiatives and sporting events that enhance the Kingdom’s position on the regional and international scene, noting that 3×3 basketball represents a modern sports model that attracts the youth and keeps pace with Bahrain’s vision of empowering them.

He said: “We are proud to be part of this global sporting event that reflects Bahrain’s bright image in organizing and hosting major tournaments, and we look forward to this tournament contributing to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a distinguished regional sports centre.”

For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hafez, Secretary General of the Bahrain Basketball Federation, expressed his deep appreciation to Zain Bahrain for its continued support for Bahraini sports, stressing that this sponsorship represents a strategic partnership that contributes to the success of the Manama leg of the World Tour.

He said that the support of national companies such as Zain Bahrain reflects the spirit of cooperation between the sports and private sectors, and enhances the Federation’s ability to organize specific tournaments that highlight Bahrain’s name on the global sports map.
