Dick Cheney, architect of the US invasion of Iraq, dies

The family of former US Vice President Dick Cheney announced on Tuesday morning his death at the age of 84. “Due to complications from pneumonia and cardiovascular disease,” his family said in a statement.

Cheney became famous as the main architect of the American invasion of Iraq, based on false assumptions.

“His beloved wife, Lynn, of 61 years, his daughters, Liz and Mary, and other members of his family were with him at his death,” his family said in a statement.
