The Head of State and the President of Liberia discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations

Abu Dhabi, 4 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed with His Excellency Joseph Nyoma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, bilateral relations and joint work to strengthen and move them forward, especially in areas that serve the common development of the two countries, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.

This came during His Highness the President’s reception today, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, at the Qasr Al Bahr Council in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness welcomed him, stressing that there are broad opportunities for cooperation between the UAE and Liberia in many sectors such as renewable energy, health, education, tourism, and agriculture, in addition to developing the infrastructure for transportation and logistics services, among others.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen its relations with African countries, including Liberia, in a way that supports sustainable development and joint economic growth, based on its vision of strengthening partnerships based on cooperation and common interests.

For his part, His Excellency Joseph Nyoma Boakai expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE, stressing his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in the development fields.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of ministers and senior state officials.
