Dubai Electricity and Water Authority will launch 1,994 new distribution stations during 2025

Dubai, May 31 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority announced that it has inaugurated 1,994 new 11 kilovolt distribution stations during the year 2025, compared to 1,530 stations during the year 2024, an increase of more than 30%.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Authority, said that it continues to develop and expand the infrastructure of distribution networks according to the highest international standards, ensuring that the growing demand for energy and water in Dubai is met, supports the rapid economic and urban growth in the emirate, meets demand expectations until 2030, and enhances Dubai’s position as one of the best cities in the world to live, work and invest.
For his part, Engineer Rashid bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of the Energy Distribution Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, explained that work on the 11-kilovolt distribution stations and associated tasks during 2025 included more than 1.45 million working hours, in accordance with the highest health and safety standards, indicating that the total number of medium-voltage distribution stations (11 kilovolts and 6.6 kilovolts) reached 47,60 stations by the end of 2025.
