Fujairah revives the art of Arab miniatures

Fujairah, 5 November / WAM / The School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation in Fujairah revived the art of Arab miniature through a cultural program entitled “An artistic residency specializing in the art of miniatures,” which aims to highlight the aesthetics of the Arab school in this art and demonstrate its uniqueness in combining Arabic calligraphy, fine decoration, and miniature photography as one of the most prominent schools that reflects the cultural and creative depth of the Arab artist.
The artistic residency lasts for three weeks and includes workshops and training courses for all age groups under the supervision of an elite group of artists specialized in calligraphy, decoration and miniatures, with the aim of developing young talents, honing their artistic skills and introducing them to the methods of the Arab school in this fine art.
The program focuses on highlighting the beauty of Arabic calligraphy and its integration with decorative formations and miniatures, and presenting artistic works that reflect the spirit of Arab creativity, mixing originality and innovation, while highlighting the aesthetic sense in lines, details and decorations.
This initiative comes within Fujairah’s cultural vision, which aims to revive the Arab school of fine arts and enhance its presence in the contemporary scene, thus enhancing the emirate’s position as a center for artistic creativity and a leading destination for the cultural movement in the UAE.
