Al-Ahly club reserved the first qualification ticket to the final of the Egyptian Super Cup 2025, after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra with a score of 2-1 in the match that brought the two teams together this Thursday evening, at Al-Ain Stadium in the Emirates, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The match was strong and fast from its first minutes, as Al-Ahly opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who rose For a powerful header, he took advantage of an accurate cross from Ahmed Sayed Zizo, to put his team in the lead.
Ceramic Cleopatra responded with the equalizer in the 41st minute through Marwan Othman after a coordinated attack that he ended with a perfect shot past Mohamed El-Shenawy, so that the first half ended in a positive 1-1 draw amid a balanced performance from both sides.
In the second half, Al-Ahly imposed its control and regained its lead again in the 52nd minute by Gradishar, who followed a cross into the penalty area and confidently put it into the goal, scoring the second goal for the red team.
But Al-Ahly’s joy with the goal was not completely complete, after striker Gradishar was forced to leave the field in the 68th minute due to a muscle injury that forced the technical staff led by Yes Torop to make an emergency substitution.
Ceramica tried to return in the last minutes through offensive pressure, but the cohesion of Al-Ahly’s defense and the brilliance of Mohamed El-Shenawy prevented the result from being changed. The Red Team decided the match in its favor and officially qualified for the final of the tournament.
With this victory, Al-Ahly sets a date with the winner of the match between Zamalek and Pyramids, which will be held later today, in the final of the Egyptian Super Cup scheduled for Sunday, November 9, with the current edition ending with the announcement of a new champion in the Emirati stadiums.
