Emirati football star Amouri officially announces his retirement

Emirati football star Omar Abdul Rahman “Amouri” officially announced his retirement from football through a message he sent on his Instagram account, in which he said, “I announce with love and gratitude my retirement from football, after a beautiful journey that lasted for years full of challenges and achievements.” Amouri’s career with Emirati football began in 2007 with the Al Ain Club Academy.

Amouri said: “Today, I announce with love and gratitude my retirement from football, after a beautiful journey that lasted for years full of challenges and achievements. “It was a journey I made with effort and the support of loyal people.”

Amouri thanked the clubs he played for, namely: Al-Ain Al-Jazira, Shabab Al-Ahly, Al-Wasl, and Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia.

Amouri concluded his letter by saying: “Today I close this beautiful chapter of my life, and begin a new journey…
Thank you to everyone who was part of this march.”
