The junior team is ready to face the champions of the “jiu-jitsu world”

Yesterday, the players of the national jiu-jitsu team for juniors under 16 years of age successfully passed the official weight procedures in preparation for the start of the competitions today, within the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship currently being held in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
The UAE junior national team is represented by 14 players competing in eight different weights, as part of their quest to continue winning medals and achieving top positions, in support of the UAE’s brilliance in the tournament, especially after the great achievement achieved by the senior national team in topping the overall standings with 10 various medals, including six gold, two silver and two bronze.
Mubarak Al Menhali, Director of the Technical Department at the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, confirmed that “all players are in peak physical and technical readiness to compete in the championship competitions, after an intensive preparation period during which they underwent advanced training programs and precise nutrition plans under the supervision of an elite group of coaches and experts.”
Al Menhali said: “Our players enjoy high concentration and great discipline, and we are fully confident in their ability to achieve outstanding results in this global championship, thanks to the great support of the wise leadership, which provides them with the best competitive environment, and the close follow-up of the Federation, headed by the President of the Emirati and Asian Federations and First Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, who is keen to communicate with the delegation and check on the players, and motivate them to give their best and represent the country in the best way.”
For his part, the head of the national teams department at the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the world champion, Faisal Al Ketbi, confirmed that “the junior team has the full capabilities to continue the process of success achieved by the national teams in continental and international championships.” Al Ketbi said: “The UAE champions are always candidates for first place in various weights, and we have great confidence in the ability of our players to leave a strong mark in the World Championship, and to continue the achievements achieved by the youth team in the Asian Games in Bahrain, and the adult team, which topped the current World Championship competitions in Thailand.”
