Dubai Police and Civil Defense sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of drones

Dubai, 9 November / WAM / The Dubai Police General Command signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Civil Defense General Command, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the field of drones, and linking the Civil Defense reporting system with the operating system in the Dubai Police Drone Systems Center, in addition to preparing scenarios for rebuilding the investigation of fire incidents and exchanging experiences in this field.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Dubai Police General Command by His Excellency Major General Hareb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Sector Affairs, and on behalf of the Civil Defense by His Excellency Major General Jamal Aded Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defense, in the presence of Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations, and Major Mohammed Omar, Director of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center Administration, and on the Civil Defense side, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Issa Ahmed Al Mutawa, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for the Smart Services Sector, President Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence, and First Lieutenant Omran Abdul Rahman Ahli, Head of the Strategic Partnerships Department in Civil Defense.

Major General Hareb Al Shamsi confirmed that the signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of consolidating strategic partnerships with various government agencies, and a translation of the directives of the wise leadership in building an integrated security system that keeps pace with developments in various fields, including joint operational operations such as dealing with fire-related reports in accordance with best practices.

He added, “Dubai Police believes that community security cannot be achieved in isolation from institutional integration. From this standpoint, strengthening cooperation with various government departments, including the Dubai Civil Defense General Command, represents a strategic priority that contributes to enhancing security and safety and the happiness of community members.”

For his part, Major General Jamal Al Muhairi explained that the signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and integrating efforts in the areas of technical development, especially in the use of drones in security and field work, stressing that this step embodies the directives of the wise leadership in employing the latest smart technologies to support the security and safety system, and developing rapid response mechanisms and managing reports and incidents with high efficiency, which contributes to protecting lives and property, and consolidating Dubai’s position as a pioneering city in security innovation and future readiness.
