Under the patronage of Mohammed bin Rashid, the Dubai International Conference for Air Force Commanders begins on November 16 in its largest session

DUBAI, 11TH November / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, the Ministry of Defense announced its full readiness to host the twelfth edition of the Dubai International Air Force Commanders’ Conference (DIACC), which begins on November 16th, under the title “Hypersonic Threshold – Reimagining Air Power Across Asymmetric Spaces.”
The new edition represents the largest gathering of Air Force chiefs of staff since 2003, as it will witness the participation of more than 100 international official delegations from senior Air Force chiefs and commanders, military decision-makers, and manufacturing companies from all over the world.
Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense, confirmed the completion of preparations for the events, which are scheduled to begin one day before the opening of the Dubai Airshow 2025, indicating that the conference reflects the position of the United Arab Emirates as a global platform for air leaders, for whom the events will represent an opportunity to anticipate the future challenges of the Air Force amid the rapid advancement of technology.
He pointed out that the event confirms the commitment of the United Arab Emirates, guided by its leadership, to support comprehensive preparedness, defense coordination, and joint operational environments that enhance regional and global security.
He said that the events are not just a military conference, but rather a council for the Air Force and Air Defense that looks forward to shaping the future of air and space superiority, in addition to strategic deterrence tools in a rapidly developing environment. He added, “The conference also represents a global platform for strategic visions to confront modern air and space defense challenges.”
He noted that the conference is distinguished by its ability to present and discuss future operational challenges with an exceptional group of global air force leaders, and then explore practical visions and solutions within an international platform defined by cooperation, mutual trust, and professional friendship.
Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi pointed out that this year’s theme reflects the future operational concepts of the Air Force, with an emphasis on maximum readiness, technological superiority, and multidimensional integration across increasingly complex battle environments, pointing out that the twelfth edition comes at a pivotal time as the world witnesses an unprecedented acceleration in the development of hypersonic technologies, artificial intelligence, and unmanned aircraft systems, creating a new reality that requires readiness and the rapid ability to adapt.
Since its inception in 2003 in its first edition, the conference has been a global strategic platform that has proven its ability to unite air force leaders around the world in a high-level strategic dialogue to address major transformations in air and space combat systems and anticipate future tools of war.
The conference agenda will include dialogue sessions on key operational priorities, including: hypersonic technologies and artificial intelligence, unmanned aviation systems, air and space integration, future fighter development, military alliances and defense policies, and the UAE Air Force’s readiness for innovation and strategic partnerships.
The events are supported by a group of leading strategic partners at the sector level, which contributes to achieving their goals and enhancing their commitments towards developing innovation in the fields of aviation and defense, as “Tawazun” supports the conference as the national industry empowerment partner, while “Edge”, the world’s leading group in the field of defense and advanced technology, provided support to the conference as the strategic partner, while “Airbus” participates as the distinguished partner.
Northrop Grumman Aerospace and Military Industries, RTX Collins Aerospace, which specializes in aerospace and defense technology, and Lockheed Martin are also participating in supporting the conference as platinum partners, while Saab Technologies, MBDA, Dassault Aviation, Thales, Boeing, and General Atomics are participating as gold partners, in addition to the conference’s media partner, “Nation Shield Magazine.”
