Dubai Basketball wins over Monaco and enhances its chances in the European League

SARAJEVO, April 3, 2017 (WAM) – The Dubai Basketball Team has strengthened its chances of competing for the Play-In spots in the Euroleague, after defeating French club Monaco, 101-91, in the 35th round, during the match that brought them together today at the Zitra Arena in Sarajevo.

Dubai raised its tally to 18 wins and 17 losses, while Monaco’s tally stopped at 19 wins and 16 losses.

Dubai’s victory came despite the absence of Dwayne Bacon, the team’s most prominent player, due to injury, while his teammate Dzanan Musa excelled and led his team with a balanced performance, recording 25 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds, while McKinley Wright added 23 points and 7 assists, and Mfiondo Kabingeli scored 18 points with 9 rebounds.
