Hamdan bin Mubarak witnesses the team’s training in preparation for the match with Iraq

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Football Association, witnessed the national team’s training, which took place today, Tuesday, at Zayed Sports City Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

The Football Association said in a press statement on its official website, “Al-Abyad continues its preparations for the match with the brotherly Iraqi national team, which will be held the day after tomorrow, Thursday, at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, as part of the first leg of the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup finals.”

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan called on the players to focus during the match and make their utmost efforts, pointing out the need to invest in the ground staff and the audience, stressing that the Emirati audience will be the best motivator in this match.

It is noteworthy that the return match between the two brotherly teams will be held on the 18th of this month in the Iraqi province of Basra.
