Ghana national team coach Otto Addo sacked

Yesterday, the Ghana Football Association dismissed the national team coach, Otto Addo, hours after the friendly loss to Germany, about 70 days before the start of the World Cup.

The Black Stars lost 1-2 in Stuttgart, the day before yesterday, after the hosts needed a late goal scored by Stuttgart striker Denis Undav.

It is the fourth defeat in a row for the Addo team, which suffered a heavy 1-5 loss against Austria last week.

The Ghanaian Federation said in its statement: “The Federation expresses its deep thanks to Otto Addo for his contribution to the national team, and wishes him success in his future career,” and added that it will “announce the new technical direction of the national team at the appropriate time.”
