Islamic Military Alliance

The Islamic Alliance was represented at the signing of the memorandum by the Secretary-General, Pilot Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughidi, while the British government was represented by a senior defense advisor for the Middle East and North Africa, Marine Lieutenant General Edward Algren.

The Secretary-General of the coalition confirmed that the memorandum aims to strengthen integration and strategic partnership between the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism and the British government, with a desire to achieve greater cooperation, coordination and integration between them in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

Fighting Terrorism

He pointed out that this memorandum comes within the framework of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism’s keenness to expand its partnerships with all countries of the world in a way that enhances security and stability and serves the common goals of member states in confronting the challenges of terrorism and ideology.

Lieutenant General Edward praised the great efforts made by the coalition through its implementation of many strategic initiatives and specialized training programs in the areas of combating terrorism in a number of member states.

It aims to ensure the ability of those countries to fortify their societies and respond to terrorism with unified effectiveness.

The latest technologies and approved practices

Lieutenant General Edward and his accompanying delegation toured the coalition’s headquarters and its specialized centers.

During which they were briefed on the latest Techniques and practices adopted in analyzing data and combating terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.

The United Kingdom is among the countries supporting the Islamic coalition, in addition to the United States of America and the French Republic.
