Zamir acknowledges the crimes of the settlers: They crossed the red lines and the army will not tolerate

The Israeli occupation chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, condemned this Wednesday evening the attacks by extremist settlers in the West Bank, describing them as “crossing the red line.”

Zamir said, according to what was reported by Hebrew media, “The army will not tolerate a criminal minority that distorts the image of the law-abiding public,” adding: “These actions contradict our values and threaten the focus of the forces on their mission.” To protect the settlements and confront threats.”

Zamir added, “The Israeli occupation army is working on the ground to prevent any threat and protect the population, and that supporting the settlements is an essential part of national security.” He stressed that “terrorism confronts the army and the citizen lives his life normally.”

These statements came after about 100 masked extremist settlers stormed the village of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarm, burned vehicles and injured four Palestinians. Before they attacked the Israeli soldiers who tried to arrest them.

He stressed that the violence negatively affects the settlement and the State of Israel, and that the army will not allow property or innocent citizens to be harmed.
