America: Two warships crossed the Strait of Hormuz as part of mine-clearing operations


Declared US Central Command (Centcom) said on Saturday that two warships crossed the Strait of Hormuz to remove mines placed by Iran, in light of the temporary ceasefire in the Middle East war.

Centcom quoted its commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, in a statement: "Today, we have begun the process of establishing a new route and will soon share this safe corridor with the maritime sector to encourage free trade flow"

Opening the Strait of Hormuz

In this context, the American President said Donald Trump Saturday that the United States began "The process of opening Strait of Hormuz"He once again criticized countries that he considered were not doing enough to secure this vital sea corridor that Iran closed during the war.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: "We are now beginning the process of opening the Strait of Hormuz as a service to countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany and others.".

He added "Incredibly, these countries do not have the courage or will to do the job themselves".
