After the news circulated about her, the Egyptian artist Dina El-Sherbiny filed an official report against the media personality, Marwa Sabry, on charges of insult, slander, and defamation.

Sabry made fiery statements on her television program, “Qaada Setat,” in which she addressed El-Sherbiny’s personal life and her relationship with the artist Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and his wife, Anne Al-Rifai, after the divorce occurred between the latter two.

Lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz, the defense lawyer of the artist Dina El-Sherbiny, also wrote a report against the journalist Marwa Sabry, in addition to several other reports against some social media pages, which were accused of defamation, insults, slander, and spreading rumors, according to local newspapers.

Sabry sharply criticized El-Sherbiny on her program, denouncing what she described as the patterns surrounding her personal life.

Sabry said: “The world is fed up with you, Dina? Leave all the men who are not married, and go to the man who has a house and children and a wife who loves him?” In reference to the rumors linking El-Sherbini to relationships with married men, as she put it.

Sabry added: “Whenever you cooperate with an artist, rumors spread about your relationship with him, until your name is always associated with married men.”

She continued: “Art is not just acting and cameras, but morals and respect. When people love you because of your talent, you must preserve this blessing. Do not let rumors of relationships steal the public’s respect from you.”
