One million British tourists visited Dubai in 9 months

Data from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai showed that the Emirate of Dubai received 1.04 million British tourists during the first nine months of this year, with a growth rate of 13%, compared to the same period last year, at a rate of 115.5 thousand tourists every month, and an average rate of about 3,800 tourists per day.
According to data obtained by Emirates Today, British tourists constituted more than 36% of the number of tourists coming from Western Europe, and about 7.5% of the total tourist flow to the emirate, which amounted to about 13.95 million tourists in the period between January and September 2025.
Data indicate that Dubai received about 120,000 (additional) British tourists during the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, making these numbers place the United Kingdom as the largest single market within Western Europe for Dubai.
According to the data, one out of every 13 tourists who visited Dubai during this period was from the United Kingdom, which reflects the position of the British market as one of the most important tourist markets for Dubai, and the emirate’s continued attractiveness as a favorite destination among British visitors.
Western Europe is the largest tourist market exporting tourists to Dubai, after their number reached 2.86 million tourists during the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year, which recorded about 2.5 million tourists.
In turn, Emirates Airlines alone serves the United Kingdom with more than 133 flights per week, including six daily A380 flights to London Heathrow Airport, three daily flights to London Gatwick Airport, two daily flights to London Stansted Airport, three daily flights to Manchester, two daily flights to Birmingham, one of them an A380, a daily flight to Newcastle, and a daily flight to Glasgow. And a daily A350 flight to Edinburgh.
Emirates Airlines, the largest international air carrier in the world, announced in October of this year the addition of six weekly flights to its flight schedule to London Heathrow, starting October 26, which opened more opportunities for travelers and provided wider travel options, after the carrier recorded record rates of growth and demand, giving customers more flexibility and convenient options for departure times to and from London Heathrow, and also coinciding with the peak travel season at the end of the year.
The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai recently told Emirates Today that the tourism sector in Dubai is heading towards achieving another record year in international tourist flow rates during the year 2025, based on the results achieved in the first nine months of the year, with the emirate receiving 13.95 million international tourists.
It confirmed that it is working in partnership with various government and private agencies to develop innovative tourism products and experiences that reflect the diversity that characterizes Dubai and highlight its components as a modern destination that combines entertainment, culture and business tourism. It also seeks to diversify tourism markets through global promotional campaigns that showcase Dubai’s attractiveness and competitiveness in terms of services and infrastructure.
